Interview With Cornie McGinley

Cornie McGinley is the managing director of Costa Systems Ltd. Ireland and UK’s leading EPOS touch software solutions for the Retail, Hospitality and Fashion sectors.

When was the business opened?

We opened in 2009.

What product or service do you supply?

As a retailer, your POS system is probably the most important system your business has, the nerve centre of your entire retail or hospitality operations. Because one ePOS system doesn’t fit all, Costa Systems offer a wide range of ePOS systems, each designed to meet the requirements of its customers precisely.

How many people do you employ?

We currently employ 12 staff.

If you had just one minute how would you describe your business?

Busy and expanding with great customer service and I am lucky to have such a great team at Costa Systems.

Who are your main customers?

Busy Bar’s / Restaurants / Fast Food Outlets / Coffee Shops / Wine Bars / Menswear Stores / Ladieswear stores / General Retail outlets.

Is there something that you would like us to let others know about?

What one customer thinks is great another customer may not need. Something that would probably be broadly required is the customer knowing that we use reliable and state of the art software and hardware. Another thing that’s very important is that all our systems are supported directly by Costa Systems staff 24/7, 365 days.

What is your role? / What do you do on a daily basis?

I basically do a bit of everything. My role more now concentrates on sales. As the old saying goes “ nothing happens until somebody sell’s something”. If I’m not selling and bringing in the customers then we wouldn’t need any staff!!

What is the best thing about your job?

Seeing idea’s become reality and seeing a happy & content customer.

What would your dream job be?

I would love to be Taoiseach.

I enjoy keeping fit at Crossfit.
