How much does Square charge for card payments?

For standard in-person chip and PIN or contactless payments using EU and EEA cards, Square currently charges:

1.75% + VAT per transaction

Square also publishes separate rates for online, manually entered and remote payments. Cards issued outside the EU or EEA can also carry an additional international card fee.

Eligible businesses processing larger volumes may also be able to discuss custom payment pricing rather than relying solely on the standard published rate.
