The Butlers Pantry first opened on Mount Merrion Avenue in Blackrock in 1987. With fresh bread and cakes baked every day along with hot dishes sold to customers directly from the pot, it wasn’t long before a second location was opened. With daily deliveries, catering was provided for dinner parties, Christenings, birthdays and other big events.



With the increasing demand for their catering service and more shops opening, they opened a state of the art kitchen facility in Bray. To this day, all of the the food for The Butlers Pantry is prepared here and distributed to the shops in fresh batches twice daily.


With multiple branches including the kitchen facility, The Butlers Pantry need to be able to handle the complex delivery and stock system required for operations to run smoothly. With Costa Systems’ POS, each location can order what’s needed from the kitchen and the kitchen can process the orders and have them ready to go out on the next delivery. All of the ordering is done on the cloud and stock is always being tracked. The stock levels of every product and ingredient are always up to date and easily reported on.


The cloud based portal means each branch is managed from a central location. Menu changes, price changes, staff changes etc. can all be done from the head office which means the screens on each point of sale are the same and changes only have to be done once with the option of having different screens in each location if needed. All reporting is done from the head office with a wide variety of reports available.
