One of our customers Gourmet Food Parlour (GFP) has announced that its Skerries branch is to serve afternoon tea as of July, and will be available 7 days a week from 3pm – 5pm.
Executive Head Chef of GFP, Michal Mazur, and the team in Skerries have developed a new afternoon tea menu using locally sourced ingredients, presented in a birdcage style plate set.
Savoury bites include lime & dill cream cheese, Irish smoked salmon and capers on Guinness bread; salami, chorizo, basil pesto and sundried tomato served on focaccia bread; and chicken and parmesan mousse with garlic aioli on crispy pancetta.
The pastry team has created desserts to compliment the savoury choices. The macaroons, hand made in house, are a standout dish for customers. The meringue topped with strawberry mousse & fresh berries is the perfect summer dessert, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
The afternoon tea at Gourmet Food Parlour Skerries is €20 per person with tea or coffee, or €25 per person with bubbles. Alternatively, the €60 deal for two comes with a bottle of prosecco.
Executive Head Chef of GFP, Michal Mazur, said: “We have created a beautiful afternoon tea offering here at GFP Skerries. The presentation is second to none and the quality of the food is truly outstanding. We want to engage with our local customers and offer them a fun and exciting dining experience. We use the highest quality, local produce to create dishes that are good value, tasty and nutritious.”
Gourmet Food Parlour CEO and Owner, Lorraine Heskin, said: “Afternoon tea is such a fun dining experience. We created this menu specifically keeping our local customers in mind, we want to offer them something that is truly unique to the area.”
