**Before any changes made in the back office can work you need to exit OneTap and start it again on the tills**
Adding a new item
From the main screen Click on admin at the bottom, items on the right, login then items again. A window will come up with the item groups as seen below, move down until you have the group needed and click on it
Once in the item group you want you can choose to either select to edit an existing item by selecting it and clicking edit at the bottom right or to create a new item hit new at the bottom right.
The new item screen is seen below. Give the item a name, a description and a price, if needed give it a second level price.
If it is a food it is recommended you give it a course to, this comes out in the kitchen printer and makes life much simpler. Click ok and you will be asked if you want to copy price 1 to other prices, select no. this would put the price in price 1 in all other price levels. Other options include whether it has open price, whether you enter the amount being sold, if it has been weighed or excludes vat. This will be the same screen if editing an item. Changing prices adding a course etc.
To do a vat change on the bottom of the menu screen click on Admin, then on the top right click on items and then login with a username and password that has authority to access this area. Next click on Item Groups in the top right corner
Here you will be given a list of all the item groups and here is where the Vat rate is changed. Click on the group you want to change and click on edit at the bottom of the screen
The following screen will pop up, simply click into the VAT box and type in the new value you want. The ok button in the top right corner will come active, click on it and then repeat the process on all the groups who’s VAT rate you want to change. When you are finished exit OneTap Waiter and open it again on all terminals on site for the changes to take affect.
Adding item button
Once an item had been added you can add it to the sales screens. To do this click on Run at the bottom of the screen, designer on the top right, select login and a new screen will open up. Enter user number and login and you will see the below screen which is what the tills see. Around it is all the editable options. Select page in the top right is choosing which page you want to edit. By clicking on any of these it brings you to that page. I would suggest saving after each change made, this means progress will not be lost and in the case of a big error you can exit without saving and return to how it was by exiting and reentering, but only as far back as the last previous save. Once a change is made on a page and you try to change pages it will ask if you want to save changes. Also after 15 minutes autosave option comes up on screen.
For this example I will add Salad sandwich to the chipper menu page. I have created the item earlier as the previous steps show. Then I select the chipper menu in the top right. I want the button to be the same as the others it will be with (colour, shape, size) so I select a button I want to copy. As seen below I click once on the Toasted Chicken Special button and then click on Add Image Button, this mimics the selected button and puts it on screen. Once the button is there you can move it by clicking and holding down the mouse button and dragging it to where ever you want it.
The next thing I need to do is give the button an action. Since it was copied from the Toasted Chicken Special button that is what it does.
With the button I want to edit highlighted I click on standard action drop down list on the right. Here we have all the items in their groups so they are simple enough to find. Now I just click on salad sandwich and the buttons action changes to that.
The same item can be put on a few different pages. To add a new page click on new page up in the top left, name it and give it a page number. To add the label headings click on add label, then on the right hand side type in what text you want to put in the label To add buttons to this, firstly whatever button you have highlighted, regardless of what page it is on once you click on add image button that button will be put on the page. Move it to the place you want. Generally if I want to do anything else to it (change colour, size, action) I click on the screen to deselect the button then click on it again. Once it is selected the options on the right hand side of the screen are for it, so the likes of the button colour can be changes at the bottom, as can the size.
Existing buttons can be changed, so for example the likes of a desert menu that changes often can just be changed rather than replaced. Just click on the button you want to change and click on standard action and choose the action you want.
